Bethany Shorb (soon to be Shorb Doyle), the original purveyor of "ties that don't suck", will be debuting her new line of 100% silk, luxury neckwear at the POOL Tradeshow in Las Vegas this February. Each will still be hand screened at her studio in Detroit and will feature somewhat more subtle colorways and graphics, and will use only the highest quality, heavyweight woven silk. All will be screened onto a modern, 3 inch cut. The BSD line will retail at $95-$115.

We strongly believe that a designer's ethics need not inform nor limit the look of the object, rather they must fuel it's making, therefore the TieLab/BSD will be represented at the eco-minded S(ECO)ND division of POOL. Still committed to being a solvent-free shop -- we only use nontoxic, water-based ink and encourage more luxury brands to do the same.

Fear not, the Cyberoptix TieLab line will still continue to offer affordable, forward-thinking designs in both standard width silk and microfiber!

Cyberoptix began as a side project for designer/sculptor/photographer Bethany Shorb many years ago, designing club wear with high-tech, industrial and found materials while a graduate student at Cranbrook. She has since shifted focus to the much neglected segment of neckwear and men's accessories. Cyberoptix has most recently collaborated with Ghostly International on custom ties, and is currently designing costumes and merchandise for musical acts such as The Killers, Solvent and Chemlab.

Cyberoptix neckwear is available online, through over 75 boutiques and museum stores across four continents, and is represented by All Purpose on Refinery29.
